Kea is a multi-hyphenate storyteller and teacher. She is a founding member of Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble, a civic-minded production company that creates new adaptations of classic works for student audiences. 

Directing credits include A Midsummer Night's Dream on tour, produced in collaboration with Red Bull Theater, and a miniseries filmed adaptation of As You Like It, with support from the New York State Council on the Arts, and The Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment. 

Kea recently directed a workshop production of 16 Winters or The Bear's Tale by Mary Hamilton, in residence at the EAG as part of their Open Stages Season, with support from NYSCA/A.R.T. New York's Creative Opportunity Fund, and New Dramatists. In 2027, she is slated to direct an NYC school tour of Twelfth Night.

Kea is a NYFA Women's Fund Grant recipient, a FY25 NYSCA Support for Artists grantee, a NYSCA- A.R.T. / New York Creative Opportunity Fund recipient, and an Outfest Screenwriting Fellow. She teaches Shakespeare in performance for Theatre For A New Audience and Lincoln Center, and Acting for University of Albany, Sarah Lawrence College & Circle in the Square. She is a proud volunteer at the 52nd Street Project.
